NEO MEN'S SOCCER
The Soccer Norsemen finished off their inaugural season on a high note by winning 5 of their last seven games. The two non-wins included one tie against Cowley County and a loss to nationally rank Northern OK. “We looked good in the second half of the season, we found a way to generate a lot of offense and even recorded a few shutouts,” Coach Parrigon said. With a strong core of returners and several key recruits things are looking up for the 2009 season.
Play will begin with a pre-season match on Aug 15th at Drury University. Then things start for real as the Norse try to defend last years victory against Cloud County on Aug 29th. The Norsemen will try to defend another 2008 victory at thier home opener on Sept 5th against Neosho County.
Our Mission. It is the mission of NEO soccer to provide a quality, and competative soccer experience while advancing the academic careers of its student athletes. The NEO Soccer Team will compete at a high level, showcasing the talent of its players so that they can move on to a 4-year school at the end of their tenure as a Norsemen. Coach Parrigon expects each of his players to perform in the classroom in order to set up a better life for themselves after soccer.
