2009 Lady Norse Camps  

 

 Individual Day CampJune 1st-4th (2nd-8th)  9am-noon each day

This camp will focus on the offensive and defensive fundamental skills as well as increasing individual skills through station work, position work, and competitive contests.  Registration will start June 1st at 8:30 am at the NEO Field house.  Early registration through mail or dropping off at NEO is suggested.

Cost:    Before May 22: $55       After May 22: $60

 

 

Elite Skills Camp:  June 8th-11th (Grades 9th-12th) 9am-noon each day

This camp will concetrate on the refinement of offensive skills and fundamentals: screening, cutting, passing, dribbling, and shooting.  Registration will begin at 8:00am on June 8th at the NEO Field House

       Cost:  Before May 25th:  $50   After May 25th:  $55

DUE TO LIMITED NUMBER OF TEAMS WE WILL NOT BE HAVING A TEAM CAMP....

Team Camp: June 22-24 (Overnight or Commute)

For three days, NEO will provide a great chance for coaches to work with their teams, and highly competitive play for their players. Games will be played in both airconditioned facitilities. The student Activity Center and the newly renovated NEO fieldhouse, making campers a part of a rich Lady Norse basketball tradition. Guaranteed 3 games on on the first two days and on the third day a bracket style play off.  All games will have two officially licensed referees and played on regulation size court.

Camp Goals

The primary purposes are to teach young women to develop their skill and improve their abilities in the finer points of basketball, improve as people, and to have fun. The camp staff incorporates development of sportsmanship, leadership, and citizenship.  

Facilities

Game sessions will utilize the same facilities used by the NEO Lady Norse during practices and games. These include the NEO Fieldhouse game floor and Student Activity Center practice facility. Overnight campers stay on the Northeastern A&M campus in air-conditioned dorms.

 Dobson/Harrill Hall
Dobson and Harrill Halls are adjoined by a large lobby which houses a computer lab, big screen television and seating areas. Each hall has three floors which feature community rooms with 27” televisions, microwaves and comfortable seating. Each room in Dobson and Harrill are equipped with heat and air control and DSL service for quick access to the internet. The first floor in each hall features vending machines, change machines and pay phones for player use.

For all campers, breakfast, lunch and dinner will be held at the Cafeteria located at the north end of the campus. Concession stand snacks and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the day.
What to Bring (overnight campers)
• Playing clothes: T-shirts, shorts, shoes, socks, etc.
• Casual clothing (light jacket if desired)
• Linens: Light blanket, 2 single bed sheets; pillow.
• toiletry and personal items.
• Alarm clock
• Personal spending money - Concession Stand, etc.
 

Cost Of Team Camp
The cost for the 2009 Lady Norse Team Camp is $80 for those staying overnight (which includes meals, room and board and a t-shirt) and $65 for commuters (which includes meals and a t-shirt) per player.  A deposit of $100 or full payment is due with each application to hold a Teams spot. We are only taking the first 10 teams!

NOTE: Deadline for all applications, payments, and health forms is May 8 for team camp or until the 10 team positions are filled.
