Out-of-State Tuition Waiver


Requirements

1.    Complete this application and forward it to the Office of Financial Aid. International students do not qualify for this waiver.

2.    Applicants with college hours after high school must have a 2.0 cumulative gpa. New students must attach college transcripts to this application. 

3.    Students without college hours must have a 2.0 cumulative high school gpa and a 15 ACT composite score. GED only students must have a 15 ACT composite score.

Students enrolled less-than-half-time (less than 6 hours) only need to complete and submit this application. No ACT score or gpa requirements for less-than-half-time students.

To Renew: the student must have at least a 2.0 cumulative gpa after the freshman yearAND BE ENROLLEDfor the next fall semester by the last day of the spring semester. Summer waivers are also available.

Amount- pays up to 32 hours of the out-of-state tuition component/YEAR.

 Freshman Dobson Presidential Scholarship

Requirements

1.    Submit scholarship application to Office of Financial Aid by March 1 deadline

2.    Attach resume to scholarship application

3.    Have a 24 or higher ACT composite score

4.    Be in the top 25% of your high school class  

Amount- Unlimited General Enrollment tuition each fall and spring semester.
Funds are limited to 12 students, which will be chosen by the Scholarship Committee

 

Sophomore Dobson Presidential Renewal Requirements

1.    Enroll full-time (3/4 time for students accepted into the Nursing program) for the next fall semester by the last day of the spring semester

2.    Pass 24 or more hours (18 for Nursing students) the freshman year with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average

Amount- $Unlimited General Enrollment tuition each fall and spring semester. 

New applicants should submit the sophomore scholarship application to the Office of Financial Aid by the March 1 deadline and enroll full-time by the last day of the spring semester. Students who make application forscholarships after the deadline will be consideredand awards made based on eligibility and availability of funds.  

 

Tri-County Valedictorian Scholarship Requirements

1.    Submit scholarship application to Office of Financial Aid by April 25 deadline.

2.    Enroll full-time (12 or more hours)  

3.    Awarded to selected valedictorians in Ottawa, Delaware or Craig County.

4.    Students must complete a list of activities with appropriate sponsor signatures in addition to this application.

5.    5 freshman recipients will be selected by the Scholarship Committee.

 Amount-Up to 32 hours General Enrollment Tuition/YEAR.


 Sophomore Tri-County Valedictorian Renewal Requirements
         - no additional application required to renew

1.    Enroll full-time (3/4 time for students accepted into the Nursing program) for the next fall semester by the last day of the spring semester

2.    Pass 24 or more hours (18 for Nursing students) the freshman year with a 3.25 or higher cumulative grade point average.

Amount– Up to 32 hours General Enrollment Tuition/YEAR. 

 

Academic Tuition Scholarship

Requirements

1.    Submit scholarship application to Office of Financial Aid by the April 25 deadline.

2.    Have a 22 or higher ACT composite.

3.    20 Freshman recipients will be selected by the Scholarship Committee. 

Amount- $1000 General Enrollment tuition/YEAR

 

Sophomore Academic Tuition Renewal Requirements
     - no additional application required to renew

1.    Enroll full-time (3/4 time for students accepted into the Nursing program) for the next fall semester by the last day of the spring semester.

2.    Pass 24 or more hours (18 for Nursing students) the freshman year with a 3.0 or higher cumulative grade point average.

3.    20 Sophomore recipients will be selected by the Scholarship Committee.

Amount- $1000 General Enrollment tuition/YEAR

New applicants and transfers should submit the Sophomore scholarship application to the Office of Financial Aidby March 1.  Funds are limited

 

Foundation Scholarship

 Boys State Room Waiver  -No application is necessary 

Requirements

  1. Attend Boys State activities on our campus during the junior high school year.
  2. We will automatically apply a room waiver for you as long as you are enrolled and have paid your dorm deposit prior to the end of the 2ndweek of school.

Amount– Room amount is waived for each semester, not to include the board amount.


Sophomore Boys State Room Waiver Renewal
   - no additional application required to renew

Requirements

1.    Enroll full-time (3/4 time for students accepted into the Nursing program) for the next fall semester by the last day of the spring semester

2.    Pass 24 or more hours (18 for Nursing students) the freshman year with a 2.5 or higher cumulative grade point average                

Amount- Room amount is waived for each semester, not to include the board amount.

 

Out-of-State Tuition Waiver

Requirements

1.    Complete this application and forward it to the Office of Financial Aid by September 1 for Fall 2009 semester, and January 10 for Spring 2010 semester.  International students do not qualify for this waiver.

2.    Applicants with college hours after high school must have a 2.0 cumulative grade point average. New students must attach college transcripts to this application. 

3.    Students without college hours must have a 2.0 cumulative high school grade point average and a 15 ACT composite score. GED only students must have a 15 ACT composite score.

Requirements

2.    Twins / Triplets must attend NEO together.

Amount- Semi-private room expenses for each twin / triplet each fall and spring.

Dorm Room Waivers

Requirements

1.    Must be allocated by either athletics or activities.

2.    Contact the department of interest for more information.

Amount- Covers thecost of a semi-private room.

General Scholarship Information 

Academics- Awarded to students with specific merit-based skills.  See the above scholarships for more detail.

Activity: Awarded to students with talent in a specific college-sponsored activity. Contact the department of interest for more information.

Athletics
