I have a broad education background. My Bachelor's degree is in Business Education from the University of Oklahoma. In 1995 I decided to pursue a dream of becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant and graduated with the 1st class from NEO with my Associate in Applied Science Degree. In 2001 I graduated from Pittsburg State University with my Master's in Education Administration.
In 1998 I came to NEO as the Clinical Coordinator and Instructor for the PT Assistant Program. In 2010 I became the PTA Program Director. Teaching in the program is a real pleasure. To quote Katharine Graham "To love what you do and feel that it matters - how could anything be more fun?" That sums up how I feel about my job here. It is wonderful to see students realize their goal of a degree and have an indirect affect on the patients they treat as well.
In my free time I like to travel. I have been to Poland several times on medical missions with Wheels for the World. It is a ministry where we take wheelchairs to foreign countries where they cannot afford them and fit the chair to the one who receives it. They are also given a Bible in their own language.
