Student Body Government Officers for the 2011/2012 School Year

President
Garold Ralston Jr.
Ralston has set goals of improving himself through leadership roles and by helping the students become more involved with various campus activities.  He is active on campus serving as the College Republican’s SBG Representative, and a member of the Masquers and Engineering Club. Ralston is finishing his second semester at NEO as a business administration major. Ralston is from Agra, Okla.

Vice President
Carla Ott
Carla would like to be an officer who brings enjoyment and fun to the campus. She wants to be an encouraging face to others and someone who students can approach to explain their issues. She wants the students’ opinion heard. Ott is currently a Norse Star and is their SBG representative, a member of Phi Theta Kappa, a bible study leader in her dorm, and a character in The King and I. Ott is a second semester general studies major from Bernice, Okla.

Secretary
Kortney Kowal
As Secretary, Kortney has specific goals set for the upcoming year. She would like to improve the parking situation and help with the transition to the new student union. Kowal is a member of the Aggie Society, Forestry Club, Phi Theta Kappa, and she serves as the SBG representative for the Forestry Club. Kowal is a natural resource ecology management major in her second semester. Kowal is from Fairland, Okla.

Treasurer
Chelsey Clayton
As Treasurer, Chelsey plans to listen to the student body’s opinion and let them be heard.  While at school, Clayton is heavily involved with the NEO Livestock Judging team and is very active in the agriculture department.  Clayton is a second semester pre-vet major from Leesburg, La.

Senator-At-Large
Alex Smith
Alex would like to help better the students’ experience while on campus. Smith would also like to set an example and lead others to represent NEO in a professional manner. He is active in the agriculture department by being a member of the Livestock Judging team and the Aggie Society. Alex is an agriculture major in his second semester from Willard, Mo.

Senator-At-Large
Kayla Kowal
As a senator at large Kayla would like to see more students attend sporting events, dances, special events, and other activities on campus. Kowal believes this attendance will help boost the school spirit on campus. She is a member of the Forestry Club and is a softball coach for youth kids in her community. Kowal is a second semester general studies major from Fairland, Okla.
