Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association. Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College was initially accredited by the North Central Association in 1925. NEO College remained accredited through 1936 when the College voluntarily withdrew. In 1949, NEO College was once again accredited by the North Central Association and has had continuous accreditation since that time. In 2000, the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools restructured into The Higher Learning Commission (HLC). HLC is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as the regional accrediting body for institutions of higher education in 19 states.

The College’s last comprehensive evaluation was in 2007, followed by a focus visit on strategic planning in 2010. NEO College is fully accredited by HLC. The next comprehensive evaluation is scheduled for the academic year 2016-2017.
