Desire To Learn (D2L)
D2L is a learning management system which allows students to engage in online courses through a web browser. All courses at NEO have an associated D2L site where instructors may post the syllabus, calendar, Powerpoints, links, and audio/video. Use your Goldkey username and password to access courses. Click here for additional help on specific topics within D2L.
You may be required to take a proctored exam off campus while you are taking an online course. NEO students use the online service ProctorU. ProctorU allows students to take exams from any comfortable location. Forget complicated software or robots! This service connects you to a real person who you can see and hear. This person will walk you through the exam process and help you if you experience technical difficulties.
NEO provides you with up to 5 hours of FREE access to Smarthinking, an on-demand online tutoring service. Smarthinking is available up to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with assistance available in a variety of subjects. With Smarthinking you receive one-on-one access to expert tutors. Use the whiteboard to interact with tutors for immediate help, schedule a future session at a time that works for you, or submit your writing and receive feedback within 24 hours. Make this academic year a success by using Smarthinking whenever and wherever you need it most.
If you experience technical difficulties with your online courses, please visit NEO’s Technology Services page for assistance.
