The Development Foundation hosts multiple events throughout the year.

Upcoming Events

  • Scholarship Application Acceptance
    The NEO Foundation accepts applications for scholarships each year from January 1- March 1. Scholarship recipients are announced in May. Approximately 125 scholarships are annually awarded through the Foundation. They are funded through generous, private donations. Submitted applications require a student essay. For more information, please call 918-540-6250.
  • Summer Art Academy
    The NEO Art Department and the NEO Foundation co-host a summer art camp for middle school and high school students interested in art. The four-day camp is held from 9 am until noon in Kah-Ne Hall. Dates vary each summer. The cost to attend is $50. Scholarships are available. For more information, please call 918-540-6250.
  • Pro–Am Golf Tournament
    Since 2013, the NEO Foundation has been selected at the benefiting charity of the Adams Pro Tour Buffalo Run – Prairie Sun and Moon Casinos Classic. To date, the NEO Foundation has profited nearly $40,000 from the weeklong event. The golf tournament is held in the summer at Peoria Ridge Golf Course in Miami.
  • Miami Rodeo
    The NEO Foundation annually offers a $1500 NEO scholarship to the Miss Miami Rodeo Queen. The Miami Rodeo is held the first weekend in May each year at the Miami Fairgrounds. For more information on the Miss Rodeo Scholarship competition, please call 918-540-6250.

  • Masonic Charity Endowment
    April 30, 2015
    The NEO Foundation was the recipient of a $50,000 gift from the Masonic Charity Fraternity of Oklahoma on April 30. The donation will establish NEO’s Masonic Fraternity of Oklahoma Student Leadership Endowment and be used to provide financial support for enrichment activities such as student leadership training and mentorships, as well as activities supported by the Student Body Government and other student organizations that promote and impact the entire student body.

  • 6th Annual Founders’ Day Celebration
    March 27, 2015
    Alumni and friends of Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College gathered on campus on March 27, 2014, to commemorate the rich history of NEO as part of its annual Founders’ Day celebration. The highlight of the event was the naming of the Lab Sciences building in honor of Willie and Jane Osborn. The event also included the announcement of the 2014 James Mabon winners, as well as the first recipient of the Willie and Jane Osborn Leadership scholarship.

  • 13th Annual Foundation Fundraiser Gala
    November 6, 2014
    The NEO Foundation Gala is held on the first Thursday of November each year in the Calcagno Family Ballroom. The fundraiser includes dinner, entertainment, as well as a live and silent auction.   • Faculty Grant Awards
    April 24, 2014
    On April 24, 2014, the NEO Foundation hosted a reception awarding $7,500 to deserving faculty members who represented each of the college’s three schools. $2,500 of the funding was provided by President’s Partners. Each department had submitted requests ranging from a few to several thousand dollars. Some of the requests were covered by individual donor contributions.

  • Founders’ Day 2014
    March 28, 2014
    The Annual Founders’ Day Celebration honors the history and founding of the college with a formal ceremony held on the last Friday of March. The event pays tribute to the late James Mabon, a representative in the fourth through the ninth Oklahoma legislatures. He petitioned the government to establish a college dedicated to the study of mining and metals, thus furthering the development of Oklahoma’s mining industry. Senate Bill No. 225 was passed on March 17, 1919, officially establishing the Miami School of Mines. It would eventually become NEO A&M College.   • Wrestling Facility Dedication
    October 26, 2013
    On October 26, 2014, NEO celebrated the formal dedication of the new Multipurpose Athletic Center and introduced the 2013-2014 NEO wrestling team and coaches. The NEO Foundation oversaw the financing and construction of the new $1.5 million facility which houses the wrestling program and indoor hitting space for NEO Baseball and Softball. The dedication included tours of the new facility, a meet-and-greet with the coaching staff, and a barbecue lunch. Following the dedication, guests cheered on the NEO wrestlers as they hosted their first Blue vs. Gold Scrimmage.

  • Charles Banks Wilson Gallery Dedication
    August 9, 2013
    On August 9, 2013, the NEO Foundation formally dedicated the Charles Banks Wilson Art and Cultural Education Center. The Center was named for Wilson as a tribute to his lifelong accomplishments as an artist and to honor his contributions to NEO’s Art Department, which he worked to establish as the first director in the 1940s. The Charles Banks Wilson Art and Cultural Education Center features a gallery which permanently showcases some of his original artwork and provides space for art exhibits.
