Officials at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) announced today that three members of the 2017 Lady Norse Basketball Team received honors from the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Making the 2017 Women’s Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference (OCAC) All-Conference team were Maria Delgado, Hatty Nawezhi, and Kamry Orr. Nawezhi and Delgado also earned first team All-Region and Orr made second team All-Region. Nawezhi is a sophomore general studies major from Belgium, Orr is a sophomore general studies major form Little Rock, Ark., and Delgado is a sophomore general studies major from Colombia.

The NEO Lady Norse won the OCAC conference for the fourth year in a row with a record of 15-1 and followed up the title by winning the 2017 Region II Championship for a second year in a row. The team also competed at the National Tournament in Lubbock, Texas. “I am very proud of these three ladies,” said Jim Rowland, head coach for the Lady Norse. “They finished the season with an overall record of 29-3, won the Conference title for the fourth year in a row, won back-to-back Region II Championships, and finished the season ranked number 8 in the country.
