Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) is preparing for this year’s annual homecoming celebration, “May the Norse Be with You”, set for Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Red Robertson Field, where NEO will take on the Tyler Junior College Apaches. T-shirts for “May the Norse Be with You” will go on sale starting Tuesday, Sept. 5, and come in blue and black. Homecoming week will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 10, with the Homecoming Kickoff and NEO is inviting the community to join the celebration and enjoy games, food, and fun. Dinner will run from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. by the NEO fountain, and wristbands for food will cost $6 for adults, NEO employees and children will be $3, and students are free with an NEO ID. NEO will also continue the tradition of the homecoming pageant on Thursday, followed by a Friday pep rally, and game day celebrations, starting with the NEO Outstanding Alumni Banquet, begin at noon. “Homecoming week is a wonderful tradition at NEO and we want to make sure our students and the community have a great time,” said Joe Renfro, interim athletic director. “We also want everyone to be wearing a homecoming shirt, so anyone wearing a homecoming shirt will get free admission to this year’s game.”

Partnering with the NEO Development Foundation, Frank Fletcher Toyota in Joplin, Mo., has renewed their $10,000 commitment to sponsor homecoming activities and the NEO Distinguished Lecture Series. “On behalf of the Kansas City Toyota Dealers Association and Frank Fletcher Toyota, we are very honored to renew our commitment to NEO A&M College and the NEO Development Foundation,” said Jim Adams, general manager of Frank Fletcher Toyota. “We feel that NEO sets the example for affordable educational opportunities in the four-state area and we at Frank Fletcher Toyota in Joplin are thrilled to be part of their commitment to quality education.” T-shirts can be purchased at the NEO bookstore. Shirts are only $10.95 for adult sizes, but quantities are limited, so make sure you pick yours up today.  For more information, contact Nancy Roberts at 918-540-6327 or nancy.roberts@neo.edu.
