NEO Equestrian Finishes Fall Season Undefeated

Miami, Oklahoma – Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018 – The Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) Equestrian Team claimed High Point Team in each of their six fall shows, most recently at the Missouri State University Show in November. In addition to their team success, riders are beginning to qualify for the regional competition. Currently, eight riders have qualified for the Western Semifinals held in Findlay, Ohio, in March.

“We are starting to qualify more students for the Semifinals, which is very exciting,” said Amanda Jones, head coach of the equestrian team. “We’re excited for the success we had during the fall and we are eager to start the spring season!”

NEO finished their fall season at Missouri State University, where sophomore business major Edson Varela, and sophomore equine and ranch management major Carla Carfora each split high point rider honors over the two-day event.
