Update: NEO defeated Blinn 38-34 in a nail-biting finish on Saturday, November 4. Miami, Okla. – Monday, October 30, 2017 – After a five-year drought, the Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) Golden Norse football team finished the regular season as Conference Co-Champions, along with Trinity Valley and Blinn College. Entering the regional playoffs as the number 2 seeded team, NEO will host Blinn on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 2 p.m. on Red Robertson Field. Tickets for Saturday’s game will be $5 for general admission and $10 for premium seating offered on a first come, first served basis. Students can get into the game free with a valid student I.D. From 1-2:30 p.m., Sodexo will host a tailgate party on the west side of the stadium. Tickets for the tailgate are $6 per person and NEO students eat free. Gates to Red Robertson Field will open at 12:30 p.m. to watch the teams warm up. NEO has also issued a special invitation to all players and coaches of the Miami Youth Football League. Any player or coach wearing their team jersey will receive a free general admission ticket. During the game, members of the Miami fourth grade team will be recognized for their Green County Youth Football Association Championship and the fifth grade team will be recognized for their Runner-up finish.

The matchup between NEO and Blinn will represent a rematch of the most recent game, which launched NEO to the Conference Championship. Pulling off a 35-26 upset over No. 4 ranked Blinn, NEO looks to make their regional tournament run under second-year coach Clay Patterson, whose two year recruiting strategy has developed NEO into an offensive powerhouse. NEO is currently ranked first in total offense; second in yards per game, yards per rush, and third-down conversions; and top five in passing touchdowns and rushing yards. Since the game is post-season play, NEO season passes will not be accepted. Premium seating can be purchased by e-mailing Athletic Director Dale Patterson at dale.patterson@neo.edu or by calling 918-540-6990.
