Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) will livestream the “Once in a Blue Moon” Royalty Pageant on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. Royalty candidates are selected by their peers to represent various clubs and organizations on campus. The goal of the homecoming royalty competition is to build professional and leadership skills among candidates, while also encouraging friendly rivalry between clubs.

Royalty candidates are as follows: Christian Student Fellowship Queen: Ada Tucker | Seneca, Mo. Collegiate Farm Bureau Queen: Elizabeth Hokit | Chouteau, Okla. eSports Club Queen: Katrina Ball | Wyandotte, Okla. Latinos Unidos Queen: Alanys Ruiz Rivera | Bayamon, P.R. King: Adan Becerra | Jay, Okla. Native American Student Association Meika Mathews | Miami, Okla. NEO Honors Program Queen: Aubrie Lambertson | Joplin, Mo. Phi Beta Lambda Queen: Ryleigh Cisneros | Welch, Okla. Phi Theta Kappa Queen: Seyton Thomas | Pryor, Okla. Student Ambassadors Queen: Madison Gardner | Salina, Okla. King: Jamal Morris| Vinita, Okla.

The pageant is the main aspect of the royalty competition. Contestants also created Linkedin.com profiles, personal introduction videos, and more. NEO Instructor Alisen Anderson will serve as the emcee for this year’s event. This year’s judges include Mrs. Rebecca Rund, member of the 2009 Homecoming Court; Mr. David Stephens, 2013 Homecoming King; Ms. Kelsey Williams, 2013 Homecoming Queen; and Mr. Caleb Sly, 2015 NEO Homecoming King. Candidates will dress in business casual attire and answer two sets of questions. A student body popular vote will determine Mr. and Ms. Norse Spirit winners, and the King and Queen winners will be announced during halftime of the homecoming game, on April 17, 2021.   Mr. and Ms. Norse Spirit Candidates: eSports Kevin Thomas | Tulsa, Okla. Student Ambassadors Christopher Harper | Mangum, Okla. Odalys Castillo | Tulsa, Okla.   The homecoming king and queen will each receive $250 scholarships and the runners-up will each receive $100 scholarships. In addition to the scholarship award, the king and queen will attend various events throughout the year and represent NEO to the local community.
