The Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) Development Foundation will host the “Unmask a Dream” masquerade ball for its 16th annual fundraiser on Thursday, Nov. 2, at 6:30 p.m., in the Calcagno Family Ballroom of the Bruce G. Carter Student Union on the NEO campus. The NEO Development Foundation raises funds to provide scholarships for students and support the mission of NEO. During the 2017/18 school year, the Foundation will distribute a record $150,000 in scholarships, largely thanks to the proceeds from last year’s fundraising gala. This year, the Development Foundation will raise additional funds to purchase new uniforms for the Norwegian Legion marching band, the only two-year college marching band in the state of Oklahoma. “This is the NEO Foundation’s largest fundraising event of the year and a great way for our alumni and community to directly impact the lives of students,” said Jennifer Walker, executive director of the NEO Development Foundation. “Guests of the event will enjoy a great dinner and entertainment, as well as a live and silent auction.”

Buffalo Run General Manager and NEO Foundation Trustee Steve Bashore will serve as the emcee for “Unmask a Dream.” This year’s event will include dinner served by members of the Norwegian Legion, entertainment, and a live and silent auction. Masks are encouraged and any attendee without a mask may purchase one for $10 at the event. Businesses and supporters of the college have donated dozens of items for the auctions. Among the live auction items are a Las Vegas get-away, a guided hunt at Claythorn Lodge, two custom neon NEO signs, and many more. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. and social hour will run from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Tickets to the event are $65 and must be purchased in advance. Seating is very limited and reservations must be made by Oct. 23. For more information, or to purchase tickets, please call the NEO Development Foundation at (918) 540-6250.
