Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) is welcoming Mrs. Teresa Spurling as the new Grove Center Coordinator. Spurling in an NEO alumna and completed part of her education at the Center.

“I took most of my classes for my Associate of Arts in Psychology at the NEO Grove Center, so it’s a bit like returning home,” said Spurling. “I was a non-traditional student who owned my own business for more than thirty years and decided to sell it. Having my degree opened doors of opportunity for me to enter the workforce in a different capacity. I am looking forward to becoming active in the Grove community. I want to find out how the NEO Grove Center can grow and better serve this area.”

Before returning to complete her associate degree, Spurling owned and operated Country Clipper, a salon in Missouri. She also has prior experience in banking and education fields.

“I am excited to have Teresa at our Grove Center because she has experienced NEO Grove as a student and now as a staff member,” said Elsie Grover, director of recruitment. “Teresa has a dynamic personally and is eager to help students have a positive experience at the Grove center and ultimately succeed.”

The Center offers students in Grove and the surrounding area the opportunity to complete many of their general education courses, including First Year Experience, English, and College Algebra courses.

To register for fall classes, speak with a recruiter, or make an appointment to enroll on-location at the Grove Center, contact the NEO Recruitment at 918-540-6291 or e-mail neorecruitment@neo.edu.
