The Broadway Cabaret at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO), is presenting The Music of the Night: Music of Andrew Lloyd Weber this Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. The Cabaret Concert will take place in Commons Recital Hall on the campus of NEO, and admission is free. The Broadway Cabaret season includes a review of the music of one composer during the fall semester. Last year’s review featured the music of Frank Loesser, a composer of musicals in the classical tradition.

This year’s featured composer is Andrew Lloyd Webber. “Andrew Lloyd Webber has been the most successful composer of musicals of his generation. He has followed in the traditions of the American composers who inspired him, but he also successfully stepped out of the traditional molds of the genre,” said Mary Susan Whaley, Director of Choir. “Our students have frequently asked to sing Webber’s music. This is our opportunity to showcase the majority of his shows in one evening.” For more information, contact Mary Susan Whaley at mswhaley@neo.edu.
