Officials at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) are ordering hundreds of rolls of toilet paper as they prepare for their first home basketball game. The annual NEO Toilet Paper Game is a tradition at NEO and celebrates the first point of the season. The TP game will be Tuesday, November 5, 2019, as the Golden Norsemen open up the season against Oklahoma Wesleyan University Junior Varsity from Bartlesville, Okla.

“Our annual toilet paper game is definitely our most popular game,” said Jeremy Jackson, head coach of the Golden Norsemen. “We are adding T-shirts to the event this year to add something new. Players and I will be handing those out around campus the day of the game. It’s a great event and our students love it.”

Toilet paper games are traditional at schools around the nation and when NEO scores the first point of the season, the crowd will throw rolls of toilet paper onto the court. The NEO team will receive a technical foul for the disturbance, but Jackson noted that it is worth it to fire up the team. Rolls of toilet paper will be handed out after the Lady Norse game. The Lady Norse will tipoff at 5:30 p.m. and the Golden Norsemen at 7:30 p.m. All are invited to attend and tickets are $5.
