NEO’s Maria Delgado Selected as First Team All-American
Miami, Okla. – Thursday, April 20, 2017 – Officials at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) recently announced that Lady Norse Basketball Player Maria Delgado was selected as a 2017 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) First Team All-American.
“I am so proud of Maria,” said Jim Rowland, head coach for the Lady Norse. “She has been an incredible player for NEO these past two years. During the most recent season, she shot an impressive thirty-eight percent from behind the arch and she averaged sixteen points, four rebounds, and two assist per game. She was also named as the 2017 All-Region Player of the Year. Delgado is the daughter of the late Esperenza Delgado.
