Two students from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) traveled to the State Capitol early in March and were honored as outstanding two-year college students. Albana Baftiri and Dulicnea Wenzel were named to the All-Oklahoma/USA Coca-Cola Academic Team as two of the forty students recognized by the Oklahoma Council of Two-Year Colleges and the Oklahoma Association of Community Colleges (OACC) in partnership with Phi Theta Kappa (PTK).

Baftiri is a Natural Science major from Miami, and Wenzel is a General Studies major from Miami. Both students are members of NEO’s PTK, of which Baftiri is the Vice President of Scholarship and Wenzel is the Vice President of Fellowship. Baftiri has been recognized as the 2018-19 PTK Distinguished Officer and is a member of the NEO Honors Program. Wenzel was recognized as a Top Ten Freshman and was the 2018 NEO Homecoming Queen.
