If you have an idea to improve the campus in any way, big or small, submit it as a proposal for the James Mabon Founders’ Day Award and you could win $2,000 to bring this idea to life!

It’s that time of year again! In honor of NEO’s 96th anniversary and one of NEO’s founders, James Mabon, the College is asking for applications for the James Mabon Founders’ Day Award. NEO faculty, staff and students are invited to submit a proposal for a project that will continue Mabon’s commitment to building and improving NEO. For example, an applicant could request funding for technological updates to a classroom or laboratory. A club or organization could partner with a business to form an idea that will improve the students’ learning experience. Other projects might propose an idea for campus beautification.

All ideas will be considered, therefore applicants are invited to think creatively and form projects that will improve NEO in both big and small ways.

The NEO Development Foundation will provide up to $2,000 to fund the winning project. The funded project will be selected by a committee of campus and community representatives.

An application for the James Mabon Founders’ Day Award can be found at neo.edu/Downloads/mabonawardform.pdf
