The American Indian Center for Excellence (AICE) at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) will host a talk by well-known Kansas State Representative, Ponka-We Victors, in NEO’s Charles Banks Wilson Gallery of Kah-Ne-You-Ah Hall from 12-1pm on Monday, Nov. 24, 2014. Ponka-We is a member of the Tohono O’odham Nation of Arizona and from the Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma. She was elected in 2011 to serve in the Kansas State House of Representatives, with her primary platforms including job creation, education, and health care.

“We are truly looking forward to Ponka-We’s visit. It is our hope that her story will foster cultural understanding and help students realize that they too can reach their goals,” said Claudia LittleAxe, AICE Director.
