Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO), is hosting a recruiting rodeo for the third year on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012. The event will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning and run into the evening with a barbeque dinner at 5 p.m. The rodeo performance will take place at 7 p.m. inside the NEO multipurpose arena in Miami, Okla. Tickets are $5.  “This event promotes NEO’s rodeo team and their success, and brings new, future students with talent to carry on the tradition,” said Kolby Ungeheuer, NEO Rodeo Coach. “The event is open to all NEO alumni and family, as well as all high school students or current graduates.”

The events at the rodeo are: bareback, saddle bronc, bull riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, girls’ barrel racing, team roping, break away, and goat tying.  Entry fees vary by event from $50 to $75.  Campus tours will be offered at the rodeo for any prospective students. Scholarships will be available for high school contestants, but the senior high point will receive a two-year scholarship to NEO A&M.
