On Thursday, Jan. 23, basketball teams travelling to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) will tipoff for the 75th Annual NEO High School Basketball Tournament. There are 48 teams participating in this NEO recruiting event and basketball tradition with thousands of fans attending to cheer on their favorite players and teams. The tournament will include high performing teams like #2 Roland men’s team as they look to build on their 11-2 record and the #11 women from Fairland, currently at 12-2.

Teams play in four different facilities. Games will be held on campus in the College Gym and the Student Activity Center. Other game locations include the Miami Activity Center at Miami High School. Tickets will be available at any of the locations listed above during the tournament. “All tournament” passes may be purchased for $20 for adults and/or students. The “all-tournament” pass will allow fans to attend any of the games in any of the locations for all three days of the tournament. Day passes are also available for $9 per day for adults and $8 per day for students and senior citizens.

More than 2,500 players, coaches, and fans are estimated to attend the tournament. Many of the visitors will stay in Miami hotels, eat at local restaurants, and visit downtown shops. The recruiting event is an opportunity for potential students to see NEO and the entire community of Miami. “We sincerely hope visitors enjoy their time visiting our community and campus,” said NEO President Dr. Kyle Stafford. “And we want to wish the best of luck to all teams in the 75th annual NEO A&M High School Basketball Tournament!” For more information, contact Lisa Severe at lsevere@neo.edu.
