NEO recently received a $10,000 gift from the Frank Fletcher Toyota dealership out of Joplin, Mo. Along with joining the NEO President’s Partners as a corporate sponsor, the gift will also serve to support NEO homecoming activities and the NEO Distinguished Lecture Series. “The NEO Foundation appreciates this very generous gift from the Frank Fletcher Toyota of Joplin and the Kansas City Toyota Dealers Association,” said Jennifer Hessee, executive director of the NEO Development Foundation. “The money will be used to fund student scholarships and support student programs and campus initiatives.”
Fletcher Toyota will join Coca-Cola, the Walton Family Foundation, Security Bank, Integris Health, and many others as corporate sponsors of the NEO President’s Partners. Since its inception in 2009, the President’s Partners have funded more than $325,000 in projects that improve NEO student experience. These projects include ACT prep courses, the Top Ten Freshmen program, and the NEO Textbook Bank, among others. The NEO “Greatest Homecoming on Earth” celebration will kick off September 21 as NEO prepares to take on the Navarro, Texas Bulldogs on Sept. 24.
Along with the homecoming sponsorship, Fletcher Toyota will also sponsor the continuing NEO Distinguished Lecture Series. The series began in spring 2016, with speakers scheduled through spring 2017.
