The theater department at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) will perform “Shakespeare in Scenes and Song” on Oct. 8, 9, and 10, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. The performances will be in Commons Hall Auditorium on the NEO campus. Under the direction of Steve McCurley and musical direction of Mary Susan Whaley, NEO students will take the stage to recite speeches and sing musical selections inspired by the work of Shakespeare. “Searching for the music has led NEO Fine Arts on quite a journey,” said Whaley. “[Some of] the original music was located at the Smithsonian National Museum and apparently was never published for public use.” Tickets at the door are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and outside students, and NEO students, staff, and faculty get in free with ID.
