Faculty members from the English department at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) are pleased to release the second volume of Portmanteau, a literature and art journal. According to Andrew Olson, NEO English instructor and managing editor of Portmanteau, “The publication has grown to accept submissions from artists worldwide while maintaining a focus on four-state artists. Local artist Mark Whitchurch had his painting ‘The Unicyclist’ selected for the cover of the second volume.”

Whitchurch, an artist from Galena, Kan., and student writers at NEO saw their work appear alongside work from national and international authors, including two pushcart nominees. The second volume of Portmanteau is available digitally to view or download at https://neo.edu/portmanteau and copies of a printed version are available at Chapters bookstore in Miami or in the Communication and Fine Arts office on the NEO campus. Submissions for the third volume are now open, and the deadline for the third volume closes on Dec. 1, 2014. NEO students who are interested in working on the journal should contact Andrew Olson at andrew.olson@neo.edu.
