BA-22 smallThe Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) chapter of the business organization Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) travelled to the Oklahoma Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership Conference in Tulsa in April. At the event, NEO PBL qualified twelve students in sixteen different categories for the National Leadership Conference this June in Atlanta, Ga. “PBL State competition is an opportunity for the student to showcase what they have learned throughout their studies at NEO. This year was exceptional and we’re very proud of all our students who competed and we’re looking forward to the challenges during Nationals,” said Brenda Lucas, PBL advisor and business instructor. “PBL is very active at NEO helping this year with homecoming, raising money for March of Dimes, volunteering for the community, fundraising, and recruiting for NEO. I’m very proud of all their efforts.”

NEO earned seven first-place finishes, three second-place finishes, and three third-place finishes. All students who placed in the top three of their events qualified for the National Convention. Along with several individual awards, NEO was also honored as the Go Green Chapter and the Silver Ribbon Chapter.
