Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) will host District Attorney Kenny Wright to discuss the use of the United States Constitution in the allowance and enforcement of medical marijuana in Oklahoma as part of the annual observance of Constitution Day. The event is free and open to the public and will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018, at 2 p.m., in the Blue and Gold Room in the Bruce Carter Student Union on the NEO campus. “Each year, we honor the Constitution by hosting events that generate awareness,” said Dr. Jeff Birdsong, chair of the school of Liberal Arts. “This event will remind us how the Constitution serves as an arbiter in federal-state relations on law enforcement issues.”

In accordance with federal law, all institutions of higher education commemorate the anniversary of the signing of the Constitution, which originally took place in Philadelphia, Pa., at the Constitutional Convention on Sept. 17, 1787.
