Officials at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) announced that Mrs. Susan Wright Mogilka will be formally inducted into the NEO Fine Arts Hall of Fame on Friday, March 4, at 5:30 p.m. in the Charles Banks Wilson Art and Cultural Education Center in Kah-Ne Hall. All alumni and friends of the college are invited to attend. Mogilka will join three other honorees: Ted Watts, Michael J. Barnes, and Melissa Dill-Behnke.

Mogilka has found success as a vocalist, studio musician, and playwright, who has spent many years performing music, dancing, and teaching. She is a professor of Jazz Vocal Studies and staff accompanist at Oklahoma Christian University, a faculty member of the Academy of Contemporary Music at the University Of Central Oklahoma (ACM campus), and a voice and piano teacher out of her home studio. She has performed with KC and the Sunshine Band, Peter Noone of Herman’s Hermits, country artists Sammy Kershaw and Jodi Miller, and has opened for Gary Lewis and the Playboys, Barbara Fairchild, and Billy Dean. She has also performed for celebrities such as astronaut Gene Cernan, actors Julia Roberts, Hugh O’Brien, and Jason Patrick, and football legend Barry Switzer, among others. “Susan is very deserving of this honor,” said Mary Susan Whaley, NEO choir director. “She has performed both internationally and locally and has established herself in the music business. We are very proud to call her a Norseman.”

To RSVP for the ceremony, please contact Jordan Adams, coordinator of public information and marketing at Jordan.m.adams@neo.edu or 918-540-6211. Following the ceremony, the NEO Fine Arts Department will perform “Legally Blonde: The Musical” at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students and seniors, and free with a valid NEO I.D.
